As of February 5, 2022 the Netherlands policy regarding the severance payments has been amended by the Dutch Secretary of Finance.
The international allocation of severance payments has been amended as of February 5, 2022 in such a way that the allocation of the amount of the severance payment is to be made on the entire length of the employment.
In the situation that a correct allocation cannot be established due to the fact that the length of the course of employment cannot be traced, the allocation is to take place on the basis of the last twelve months of employment with the employer.
This new policy is applicable to all severance payments paid as of February 5, 2022.
